Some New Spring Things

This lovely journal from artist Jill Bliss is not just pretty on the outside, but each entry page is beautifully illustrated too!

This little mushroom and bird postcard is one design (of 3) we have in from Paper Milk. When was the last time you got a postcard from an old friend? Remember how happy you were? For under $2 (the stamp is even cheaper on a postcard) you can make somebody's day!

This pendant necklace is just one of the many great pieces of jewelry we have in from Captured Moments--all handmade with elements from a past life. Both necklaces and earrings are here for your perusal!

Some Green Things

With Saint Patrick's Day nearly here, I stocked the window with lots of green things. Today I realized that Easter will be here in less than three weeks, so I took out the green stuff and am working on an Easter/Spring theme. Here are some of the green-hued things I traded for bunnies, chickens, baskets and eggs.

This purse is made from recycled candy wrappers. It's also available in a multi-colored version where the wrapperiness is more obvious.

Locally handknit mittens and child's hat. Sold separately, and created by two different artists with the same eye for cuteness.

This is a recycled glass vase so it's green in more ways than one!

This goofy little turtle is crocheted over post-consumer bottle caps. I am the consumer. The lady who crochets them lives here in town and walks them over--her carbon footprint is really small, as are her feet.

Another fabulous locally-made thing: this green koi tshirt for kids from Mosh Baby. It's even organic cotton!

More green stuff from Galison Green. . .

And some green frogs from Melissa and Doug--the pull toy frog bounces when you pull him and the Funny Frog Games come with lily pads, frogs, and directions for 10 different games to play with them.

New Papergoods--100% Recycled!

An "old" favorite, Galison, now has a line of 100% recycled papergoods! We have all three designs in all fthree styles--so get a whole collection, or mix it up. Even the packaging is recycled! The list pad (above) has 160 Euro-looking graph sheets. It's perfect bound, but has perforations so you can easily tear off a sheet to take along to the store.
The writer's notebook sets feature three different covers and page styles: one blank, one lined, and one graph--for all your doodling needs!

The notecard sets are adorable--each has 12 cards (6 each of 2 designs) and 13 envelopes. They're packaged in a recycled box with no acetate--easy to recycle when you're done with them.

We are now able to ship your order UPS, so if you can't make it to the store, just call and we can send it right out to you (you'll have to give us a credit card number or mail us a check first, though).
